On 31 May 2026 the You Yangs Off-Road Festival offers duathlons and trail runs at You Yangs Regional Park, with relay options, finisher medals and personalised bibs, across courses that pass granite peaks and forested single track.

June 2026

Unbreakable is a weekend trail running event in the Marysville region inspired by the Barkley Marathons. It features multiple laps of about 30 to 50 km, navigation-based challenges and lap time cutoffs of 8 to 12 hours.

Rosebud Running Festival on 7 June 2026 in Rosebud offers marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 5 km and a 1 km kids race on a flat coastal Bay Trail course with aid stations and timing mats.

Take on the Wild Dog Backyard Ultra at Lardner Park near Warragul on 26 June 2026, looping a 6.71 km course each hour until only one runner remains. Expect farmland trails, friendly camaraderie and true endurance testing.

July 2026

The You Yangs Trail Running Festival on 18 and 19 July 2026 at Little River VIC offers distances from 5 km to 100 mile across varied trail terrain. It is the second race in the Trailsplus Mountain Trail series.

August 2026

Silvan Race on 2 August 2026 runs through fern gullies and mountain ash in the Dandenong Ranges. Distances include 7.2 km, 15 km and 22 km and the event uses a handicap format to keep runners together.

Melbourne Spartan Event Weekend at Werribee Racecourse offers a 5 km sprint with 20 obstacles and a 10 km super with 25 obstacles, plus a kids race and a 4 hour Hurricane Heat. The course is described as fast and flat with unique obstacles.

The Devilbend Trail Run will take place in Tuerong on Sunday 16 August 2026. You can run between 7 and 21 kilometers.

September 2026

A community running event in Bonnie Doon on 6 September 2026 offering 7 km, 14 km and a 21 km half marathon across rural farmland and creek lines. Organised by Active Farmers and Fat Farmers to support rural physical and mental wellbeing.

A September festival in the Dandenong Ranges with a 13.5 km classic from Belgrave to Emerald Lake Park plus family and junior races, timed results and event services, raising funds for Puffing Billy Railway heritage projects.

Races along the Maribyrnong River at Footscray Park on 13 September 2026 offer a half marathon (2 lap), 10 km and 5 km Run/Walk. Medals and personalised certificates are provided for finishers.

October 2026

A two day trail running and walking festival at Rokeby Recreation Reserve that raises funds for Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue Inc. Distances range from 2 km to 50 km and many categories allow dogs to run alongside participants.

A trail running event in the Dandenong Ranges near Melbourne offering multiple distances from a 1.23 km kids loop to a 46 km double-loop ultra, set on ferny, undulating forest trails with significant climbs and community support.

November 2026

A weekend trail festival in Marysville on 7 to 8 November 2026 offering distances from a 1.5 km kids dash to a 100 km ultrarun, with forest tracks, rivers, waterfalls and mountain lookouts.

5K Foam Fest Melbourne on 28 November 2026 offers a 5K course with 25+ obstacles and 2.5 million cubic feet of foam. The event includes a Kids Fun Zone, live DJ, food vendors, beer gardens and onsite amenities at Event Central at Caribbean..

True Grit Melbourne is a military inspired obstacle event at Wildwood Rock Enduro on 28 November 2026. It features timed Elite racing plus 5 km and 10 km courses across natural terrain with many built obstacles.

December 2026

A loop-based event on a 2.5 km circuit at Woodlands Park with fixed distances and an unlimited laps option, raising funds for Living Legends and Canteen.

A New Years Eve trail run in the You Yangs with distances from 5 km to 50 km and a 6 hour option, offering a headtorch 5 km loop and views of fireworks across Melbourne to Geelong and the Ballerine Peninsula.

January 2027

A coastal running event at Point Nepean National Park on 3 January 2026 offering 9.5K, 5.5K and a Kids Dash, with coastal views, an event village, race timing and on-course support.
