Event overview

The Marysville Marathon Festival is an annual running festival hosted by Trailsplus in the Marysville region of Victoria. The event supports the local community and has contributed to recovery from the 2009 bushfires through donations and community involvement. The festival includes competitors, volunteers and spectators, and raises funds for local clubs and services, including Marysville CFA and SES.

Race distances and course

Races are held on valley trails and forest tracks. The course passes the Steavenson River and Steavenson Falls and follows parts of the Taggerty River valley and Red Hill. Some longer routes include significant climbing to lookouts.
