The Marysville Marathon Festival is an annual running festival hosted by Trailsplus. The 2025 event is scheduled for Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November 2025. The festival began after 2009 and has contributed to the community recovery from the 2009 bushfires through donations and local involvement. The event raises funds for local volunteer organisations including Marysville CFA and SES and supports club fundraising through volunteers.
Course, distances and programme
Races take place on scenic valley trails and forest tracks, passing rivers and waterfalls and running alongside the Steavenson River and Steavenson Falls. The longer courses include uphill sections over Red Hill and along the Taggerty River valley before returning to Gallipoli Park for climbs to lookouts and the falls. Saturday features additional events, including a kids 1.5 km dash, King and Queen of the Mountain events and a 100 km race that starts Saturday night and joins the ultramarathon course for a second 50 km on Sunday.
