Marysville Marathon Festival

The Marysville Marathon Festival is an annual trail running weekend in Marysville, Victoria, held on 7 to 8 November 2026 and hosted by Trailsplus. The festival began in 2009 and contributes to local recovery and community fundraising, including support for local emergency services and community groups.

Races run on valley trails and forest tracks that pass rivers, waterfalls and native forest. Courses travel alongside the Steavenson River and Falls, traverse the Taggerty River valley and include sections such as Treefern Gully, Red Hill and Keppel Lookout. Longer distances include significant climbs and lookout points; shorter distances are suitable for walkers.

Trail runs nearby

Silvan offers three trail courses through the Dandenong Ranges on Sunday 2 August 2026, with significant hills and single and double track. A handicap start is used and routes are clearly colour marked at splits.

Run 4 Resilience Bonnie Doon on 6 September 2026 features 7 km, 14 km and 21 km courses through farmland and creeks near Ancona Road. The event supports community wellbeing and rural mental health through organised runs and fundraising.
