Marysville Marathon Festival

Event overview

The Marysville Marathon Festival is an annual running festival hosted by Trailsplus in Marysville, Victoria. The event has been held since 2009 and played a role in the community recovery after the 2009 bushfires through fundraising and local involvement. The festival raises funds for local services including the Marysville CFA and SES and relies on volunteers to support race operations.

Races and course

The festival includes multiple race distances on valley trails and forest tracks that pass rivers and waterfalls. The course features forest trails, valley running, and hill sections, with longer races crossing Red Hill and following the Taggerty River valley before returning to Gallipoli Park and the Steavenson Falls area.
