Reservoir Roundabout is an annual walking or running challenge held across upland terrain in and around the Elan and Claerwen Valleys. The route is waymarked in parts and requires map reading skills. A confirmed route map and GPX file will be emailed to competitors during the week before the event. Location: Elan Valley Visitor Centre car park, Elan Valley, LD6 5HP.

Participation and logistics
Entries open Monday 6 October 2025 and close Sunday 4 January 2026. The entry fee is £20.00. No on-the-day entries are available. The car park charge is £3.00. This event is not run as a race and results are not published. Entry requires prior registration with the event system. Entry fee and a kit check apply. The event is organised by volunteers and proceeds go to local charities.
Participants must carry or wear essential equipment: an OS map (Landranger 147 or Explorer 200), compass, whistle, torch, first aid kit including a survival bag, waterproofs, enough food and drink, warm clothes and proper footwear. The organisers reserve the right to change the route due to forestry, farming or construction works. Some sections pass through private farms; gates should be left as found.
