Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge

The Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge takes place from a basecamp at Windsor Racecourse on Saturday 18 April 2026 and Saturday 17 April 2027. Participants follow looped routes through the Great Park with views of the Castle, continue to Runnymede, and run along the Thames Path and surrounding countryside, finishing back at basecamp.

The event offers these distance options:

  • 50 km
  • 25 km
  • 10 km

Participants may walk, jog, or run and can enter as individuals or teams. Event options include a Solo Start, an Ultra March option, and a Trailblazerz option. The route is fully signed with pink arrows and glow-sticks at night and is supported by GPS tracking and a mobile app with live timing and tracking.

Support infrastructure includes covered rest stops approximately every 12.5 km with major rest stops about every 25 km. Rest stop facilities include marquee cover, catering, seating, changing rooms, medical and massage teams, and a picnic at 25 km for 50 km participants. Snacks and drinks are provided at regular intervals and dietary requirements are catered for. The timing system scans at rest stops so progress is logged.

At the finish participants receive a medal, a finisher’s T-shirt, and a glass of fizz. Additional logistics on site include transfers, shuttle buses to local stations, parking, a bar area, and camping. Corporate team entries are available and over 400 company teams joined events in 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
