Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge : event overview

The Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge takes place on Saturday 18 April 2026 from a basecamp at Windsor Racecourse. Routes are looped and include the Great Park, Runnymede, the Thames Path, and sections with views of Windsor Castle. The 50 km route is a figure of eight made of two different 25 km loops.

Logistics, support and categories

Rest stops are provided roughly every 12.5 km, with major rest stops around 25 km. Catering includes snacks and drinks, a 25 km picnic for 50 km participants, and hot food at the 50 km finish. The event offers marquee rest stops, medical teams, podiatrists, massage, GPS tracking, and a fully signed route. Shuttle buses and parking are available at many finish locations.

Categories include an Ultra March option for walkers aiming to complete 50 km in under 12 hours, a Trailblazerz category for faster competitive runners, and a Solo Challengers start option. Finishers receive a medal, a T-shirt, and a glass of fizz; 50 km finishers also get a hot meal while 25 km and 10 km finishers receive a picnic.
