Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge

The Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge takes place on Saturday 18 April 2026 from a basecamp at Windsor Racecourse. Routes use looped trails through Windsor Great Park, past views of the Castle, to Runnymede and along the Thames Path, and through surrounding countryside. Around 2,000 participants are accommodated from the basecamp.

Distances offered include:

  • 50 km figure of 8 route, 320 m elevation
  • 25 km loop including the Great Park, 175 m elevation
  • 10 km loop around Eton, Windsor and the Castle, ~25 m elevation

Rest stops appear approximately every 12.5 km with larger marquee stops at about 25 km. Catering is included with snacks and drinks at shorter stops, a picnic at 25 km for 50 km participants, and a hot meal for 50 km finishers. Medical teams, podiatrists and massage services are provided at rest areas. The route is fully signed and supported by GPS tracking via the event app, and timing scans at rest stops log progress.

Options include Solo Challenger start times, an Ultra March category for walking targets, and a new Trailblazerz category for faster runners. Parking, shuttle transfers to local stations, camping and bookable extras are available. Teams and corporate entries are supported with specific arrangements and team registration procedures. Brutal @ Bagshot serves up a muddy, hilly Army training circuit with bogs, twisting climbs and knee to waist deep water holes. The 10 km is two gruelling laps.

Huffin Puffin Run on 24 Jan 2026 at Xcel SPORTS HUB, Walton on Thames. Flat 5.3 km riverside loop with distances from 5 km to ultra; lap as you like within the time limit and enjoy aid stations and digital results.
