Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge : event overview

The Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge takes place from a basecamp at Windsor Racecourse on Saturday 18 April 2026. It offers looped routes through Windsor Great Park, Runnymede and along the Thames Path, with sections that pass Eton and views of Windsor Castle. Distance options are 50 km, 25 km, and 10 km. The event provides covered rest stops approximately every 12.5 km, with major rest stops every 25 km. The route is fully signed with pink arrows and GPS maps in an event app; participants are scanned at rest stops and progress is monitored by a central Control Room. Catering notes: snacks and drinks at regular stops, a picnic at the 25 km mark, and hot food at the 50 km finish. Support options listed include parking, shuttle buses and transfers.

Entry options include self-funded places and several charity funding models. Additional categories include an Ultra March option for walkers, a Trailblazerz option for faster competitive runners, and a Solo Challenger start option.
