Catalina State Park 50-Year Trail Race and 5k Trail Run & Walk
This event on 10/04/2026 at Catalina State Park in Tucson, AZ features trail races on the Nature, Bridal and 50-Year Trails. The longer course uses the Nature Trail to the Bridal Trail, continues up 2.7 miles on the 50-Year Trail to a gate turnaround, then returns via the Bridal Trail to the finish. The shorter course runs on the Nature Trail and Bridal Trail.

Registration opens 09/22/2025 and closes 07/13/2026. Published entry fees are $56.50 for the 9.3-mile race and $39.50 for the 5k. The 9.3-mile event is restricted to runners and run-walkers who can complete the course within three hours. The organizer offers discounts for teachers, police, fire, EMTs, and veterans/active duty; participants must contact the organizer to request them.
Included with registration are a homemade Mexican breakfast, doughnuts, fruit and nuts, downloadable professional race photos, quality finisher shirts in cotton and technical fabrics with male and female sizing, and overall plus 5-year age group medals for first through third place. Overall winners receive running shoes from Fleet Feet.
Bib and parking pass pick-up occurs at Fleet Feet locations on specified September dates; pre-purchased parking passes must be collected by the published deadline. Dogs are not permitted. Entry fees are nonrefundable and bibs are not transferable without organizer approval. Event information notes participants may purchase event insurance during registration.
