Event overview

The TMC Old Tucson Trail Run takes place on February 22, 2026, at Old Tucson Studios in Tucson, AZ (201 South Kinney Road, 85735). The event offers multiple race options held entirely on the grounds of Old Tucson and nearby Tucson Mountain Park. Course terrain includes dirt, single-track trails, washes, and dusty main-street sections. Temperatures are expected in the 50s to 70s. Pets are not allowed on Old Tucson property.

Course and facilities

The 4-mile course loops through Old Tucson’s streets, horse trails, and desert terrain. The planned 8-mile course combines a 2-mile loop inside Old Tucson, a 4-mile loop on Tucson Mountain Park trails, and a final 2-mile loop inside Old Tucson, with start and finish at the Bitter Creek and High Chaparral sets. The 1-mile family course is described as less technical and generally suitable for strollers and chair users, while the 4-mile course is not suited for chairs. Participants should watch for cactus and some rugged sections.

Registration, awards and extras

Entry fees listed are $50 for the 8-mile, $45 for the 4-mile and 1-mile, and $10 for the kids mile (no shirt included for the kids entry). First 750 registrants are guaranteed a commemorative shirt; other participants receive a commemorative sublimated shirt and race number. Awards include gift certificates to The Running Shop for overall and age-group winners.
