The CAT DIRT DASH 5k Run & 1-Mile Fun Run is scheduled for March 14, 2026, at Caterpillar Tinaja Hills in Green Valley, Arizona. The course runs on dirt through desert terrain and passes a display of Caterpillar machines. The event is limited to 300 participants and will proceed rain or shine. Parking is free. No pets are allowed.

Registration fees listed are $25 for the 5k and $15 for the 1 mile; fees increase on March 1. Paid participants receive a 2026 event hat. A free child 1-mile entry is available with a paid adult; the child 1-mile entry is not eligible for an event hat or awards. Award eligibility is limited to paid 5k participants. Awards include top three male and female finishers in each 5k age group and top overall male and female 5k finishers. There are no refunds.

Water and a post-race snack are provided by the United Way of Southern Arizona. A merchandise booth will offer CAT-branded items before and after the race. Trail marathon, half marathon and 10K near Vail, Arizona along the Arizona Trail with school bus starts, aid stations, finish-line food and proceeds benefiting the Arizona Trail Association.
