The Sabino Canyon Sunset Run takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Sabino Canyon in the Coronado National Forest. The venue address is 5700 N Sabino Canyon Rd, Tucson, AZ 85750. The race offers two distances:
- 7.4 Mile
- 2 Mile Fun Run & Walk
Registration is limited for each distance and there are no refunds, substitutions, replacements, or wait lists.
Entry, rules and awards
Entry fees are listed as $45 for the 7.4 Mile and $25 for the 2 Mile, with prices increasing after January 31, 2026 at 11:59pm MST. Runners in the 7.4 Mile must maintain a sub-19 minute per mile pace. They must reach the turnaround at the top of the tram road within 70 minutes and the third aid station at mile 5.1 within 95 minutes or they will be removed from the course. Walkers unable to meet the pace requirement are asked to choose the 2 Mile event.
SAR members receive a $5 discount for the 7.4 Mile. Native Americans and active duty or retired military are eligible for specified discounts using event codes. The 7.4 Mile offers awards for top overall, top masters, and top age-group finishers; awards include performance footwear and Summit Hut gift certificates. Both-event registrants receive a race shirt and 7.4 Mile finishers receive a finisher medal. Food and music are provided at the finish area.
