Southern Arizona Triple 50
The Southern Arizona Triple 50 is a season long challenge that requires completion of three separate 50 mile trail ultras in southern Arizona. Each race must be finished within 15 hours. The three constituent events take place on portions of the Arizona National Scenic Trail and are staged at different locations and dates:
- Colossal Vail 50 on December 5, 2026 in Vail, AZ
- AZT Oracle Rumble 50 on January 30, 2027 in Oracle, AZ
- Old Pueblo 50 on March 6, 2027 in Sonoita, AZ
Event proceeds are donated to the Arizona Trail Association to support the organization’s mission to protect, maintain, enhance, promote, and sustain the Arizona Trail. The series is supported by local partners including Team Woodall with Long Realty and FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers in Northwest Tucson.
FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers provide a range of services for participants and supporters, including balance therapy, fitness and wellness, orthopedic rehabilitation, and a Run DNA video gait analysis system that uses motion capture to assess running form and inform personalized training and rehabilitation plans.
Finishers who complete all three 50 mile races in a single season receive event swag from each ultra and a custom garment recognizing the Triple 50 accomplishment. Discounted registration is offered to Native Americans, members of the Arizona Trail Association, and military veterans; participants must contact the organizer for the coupon code.
