A looped trail event at Glendo State Park focused on night and twilight running, offering 3, 5, 10 and a new 24 hour option. Five loops range from 1.41 to 13.6 miles and all loops start and end at Two Moon Campground.

May 2026

Caveman Fun Run is a trail running event at Flying V Trails near Newcastle, Wyoming offering 5K, 10K and 20K courses on single-track and double-track trails. Packet pickup is available the day before and check-in is required on race day.

Trail Mix Run Wyoming features 3 mile and 10 mile mixed-surface trail courses at Mike Sedar Park, plus a 3 mile wheelchair and stroller accessible route and a virtual option with set reporting deadlines.

A historic trail race near Laramie offering a rugged 25K and a new 10K option, scenic summit views, two aid stations, and a cupless format. Proceeds support Pilot Hill Inc.

June 2026

Trail races in Sinks Canyon run along the corridor to the Wind River Mountains with distances from 50 km to a kids 1 km. The Lander Running Club hosts the event and manages online registration and volunteer opportunities.

A remote multi-distance ultra in the Bighorn Mountains on June 19 to 20, 2026, featuring over 20,500 feet of ascent and long backcountry sections. All distances are currently full and wait lists are maintained.

July 2026

Two days of trail races at Grand Targhee on July 4 and 5, 2026 offering 50K, 22K, 10K and a 1K kids race. Each race is capped at 200 entries, features aid stations and podium awards, and is a cupless event.

A weekend of alpine trail races at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort featuring 50K, 30K, and 15K routes that reach Cody Peak and Rendezvous Mountain, with aid stations, volunteer support, and prizes for top finishers.

Multi format mountain endurance event on Laramie Peak starting and finishing at Friend Park Campground. The route is a remote, technical loop of about 9 miles with nearly 3,000 feet of elevation gain per lap and basecamp aid.

Trail races of 10K, half marathon and 17 miles follow the Bear River greenway and park trails in Evanston, Wyoming. Courses run through river bottoms, pass park wildlife and offer upland views of the Uinta range.

Trail running event in Casper, WY on July 18, 2026 offering an 8 mile two-lap race or a Backyard Ultra last runner standing format, with all operations at Casper Mountain Trails Center and limited race souvenirs for the first 75 registrants..

August 2026

Experience the rugged beauty of the Wyoming wilderness at El Vaquero Loco. Run through the western landscape on technical trails to support local high school athletic programs.

A 105.7 mile point to point ultramarathon through Bridger Teton National Forest from Middle Piney Lake to Box Y Ranch, featuring about 24,000 feet of climb, 11 aid stations and a 48 hour cutoff.

The Tails and Trails 5K is a community event supporting animal therapy, featuring a flat course through Cody along the Shoshone River. Participants can run or walk with their dogs on August 8, 2026.

Run moonlit singletrack on Casper Mountain at the Night Crawler Endurance Challenge, an overnight time based event with 4 and 12 hour solo and 12 hour relay options. Finish with volunteer made hot breakfast and awards in central Wyoming.

A marathon and half marathon on August 15, 2026 at Lake Owen in the Medicine Bow National Forest. Routes run on the 21 mile Rail Trail at high elevation and support trail upkeep.

A pair of trail races at Curt Gowdy State Park near Cheyenne on August 22, 2026, featuring 4 mile and 8 mile courses through aspens and pines with elevation rising from about 7,300 to 7,700 feet.

Trail races at Turpin Meadow Ranch in Jackson Hole support the John Wayne Cancer Foundation with 30K, half marathon, and 8K options; finishers receive a shirt and mug and weekend events are centered at Red Cliffs Lodge.

Trail races at Grand Targhee on August 29, 2026 cover 7.1 miles with 2,212 feet of vertical gain across Sport, Expert, and Pro divisions plus a volunteer category. Per race prizes and season points are awarded and the field is capped at 500..

September 2026

A trail race through Wyoming’s Northern Red Desert on Wyoming Public Lands Day offering 30K and 50K courses from Whitehorse Creek Overlook to historic South Pass City while highlighting conservation of public lands.
