Sunrise Scramble
Glendo, United States • 25-26 Apr 2026
Sunrise Scramble
Sunrise Scramble takes place at Glendo State Park with a home base at Two Moon Campground in Glendo, Wyoming. The event is centered on night and twilight trail running and is offered to help runners practice night navigation and gear use. A new 24 hour option is added for 2026 alongside other timed events.
The format is looped. All entrants begin on the roughly 1 mile loop and may continue onto any of five additional loops that start and end at Two Moon Campground. Runners must complete loops before the official sunrise for those laps to count toward their total.
Distances for the loops include:
- 1.41 miles
- 3.53 miles
- 5.37 miles
- 7.78 miles
- 13.6 miles
Timing is manual; runners must check in with a timing volunteer after each loop to receive credit. Loop 5 requires carrying at least 1.5 liters of fluid and 300 emergency calories, which will be verified before departure. Other event rules include leaving no trace, staying on course, no dogs on the course, no pacers for the 3, 5, and 10 hour events, and crew restrictions on where aid may be given. Mandatory gear will be checked when picking up bibs and before certain loops. In wet or muddy conditions runners are asked to run through muddy sections to avoid widening trails.
