Wolf Creek Wrangle
Wolf, United States • 20 Sep 2025
The Wolf Creek Wrangle is a rugged trail running event held annually in Wolf, Wyoming, at the historic Eatons' Ranch near the Bighorn Mountains. Offering four challenging distances—5 miles, 7 miles, half-marathon (13.1 miles), and 18 miles—the race is known for its wild, ungroomed single-track trails featuring natural obstacles like rockslides and overgrowth, embodying the "Jeff Way," or cowboy way, of running. Participants experience a true western adventure with chances of bear sightings and untamed terrain. The event fosters a lively atmosphere with post-race food, music, and beer. Proceeds support Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns, aiding affordable housing efforts in Sheridan County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
