Trail Running calendar near Tipton 2026-2027

Tipton Picnic Trail on August 1 offers a live 5K run and a 2 mile walk at Tipton High School with prize money for top finishers; register by July 19 to receive a free t shirt, late entries are accepted without shirts.

Trail half marathon and 50k on the single-track Switchgrass Mountain Bike Trail at Wilson State Park. Exposed, hilly course beside Wilson Lake with two aid stations, marked routing, awards, and finisher items for each distance.

A 10K trail run in Kanopolis State Park on Sep 12, 2026, following the multi-use Horsethief Canyon Trail with hills, rocky and sandy sections and up to five shallow water crossings; entry options include a race shirt.

Multi-distance ultraruns on rugged single-track at Wilson State Park with substantial elevation gain and looped 20 mile laps. The Pure Hell 140 requires a prior 100 mile finish and has a 52 hour cutoff.

A multi duration timed event on a one mile loop in Marquette, KS with chip timing, a cup less aid station and on course crew areas. All finishers receive a belt buckle and distance specific magnetic banners and awards are given.

The Carry Your Cross 10K will take place in Marquette on Saturday 20 March 2027. You can run between 5 and 10 kilometers.

Timed 12, 24 and 48 hour races run April 23 to April 25, 2027 in Abilene, Kansas on a certified 1.8228 mile paved loop. Buckles are awarded at six set distances and runner lodging is included with entry.

A last man standing backyard ultra held on single-track trails at Wilson State Park. Runners repeat 4.167 mile laps with one hour to complete each lap; crews are limited and aid is at the start finish only.

Iron Will Backroads on May 29, 2027 in Enterprise, KS offers 100, 50 and 50K races on gravel roads and a rail trail that passes an active historic train. The event includes aid stations, shirts, awards and finisher buckles.
