Earth Day Buckle Mania is scheduled for April 24–26, 2026 in Abilene, Kansas (1943 Indy Road). The event offers 48-hour, 24-hour, and 12-hour race options. Registration closes on April 21, 2026, and shirts are guaranteed for entrants who register by April 5, 2026. Pacers are permitted after 12 hours; muling is not allowed. Deferral requests must be made up to 30 days before the event and are valid for one year.
Course and awards
The course is a certified 1.8228 mile paved loop through a mostly shaded private park. Runners earn a buckle each time they reach the following distances; multiple buckles are possible:
- 50K
- 50 Miles
- 100K
- 100 Miles
- 150 Miles
- 200 Miles
All runners receive a tri-blend shirt. Buckles are awarded for each qualifying distance completed. In addition to distance buckles, overall awards are given to the top female and top male in each race. Lodging is included in the entry fee for the runner only and includes heated showers; cabins, heated buildings, and RV hook-ups are available for additional rates for crew and family.
