Earth Day Buckle Mania takes place April 24-26, 2026 in Abilene, KS. The event offers 12-hour, 24-hour, and 48-hour formats on a certified loop. Registration closes April 21, 2026.

Course and facilities

The course is a certified, paved loop of 1.8228 miles, mostly shaded, located in a private park. Lodging for the runner is included in the entry fee. Heated showers are available. Cabins, heated buildings, and RV hook-ups are offered; rates for crew and family are available from the race director.

Every time a runner reaches a listed distance they earn a buckle. Buckle distances include:

  • 100 Mile
  • 150 Mile
  • 200 Mile

All entrants receive a tri-blend shirt. Register by April 5, 2026 to be guaranteed a shirt. Top female and top male in each race receive overall awards.

Rules and policies

Trail runs nearby

Iron Will Backroads in Enterprise Kansas on May 16, 2026 features 50K, 100K and 100 mile gravel and rail trail loop courses with staffed aid and finisher buckles. Pacers allowed late; register by May 13 and April 23 for a guaranteed shirt.

Iron Will 100 in Junction City KS hosts 100 mile, 50 mile, 50K and a 36 hour event on a flat river trail with about 75 percent shade. Manned aid stations, finisher buckles and awards for top men and women make this a test of endurance.
