Earth Day Buckle Mania is a multi-day timed event held in Abilene, Kansas. The event offers 12 hour, 24 hour, and 48 hour race options run on a certified 1.8228 mile paved loop located in a private park. The loop is described as mostly shaded.
Runners can earn buckle awards at multiple distance milestones. Buckles are awarded each time a runner reaches the following distances:
- 50K
- 50 Mile
- 100K
- 100 Mile
- 150 Mile
- 200 Mile
Lodging for the runner is included in the entry fee and is provided at no additional cost; heated showers are available. The organizer also lists cabins, heated buildings, and RV hook ups and notes separate rates for crew and family.
Pacers are permitted after 12 hours. Muling is not allowed. Deferrals must be requested up to 30 days before the event and are valid for one year only.
All participants receive a tri-blend shirt. Registrations completed by April 1, 2026 are guaranteed a shirt. Top female and top male finishers in each race receive overall awards.
