KUS 24 Hour Run

Marquette, United States • 14-15 Nov 2026

Event Overview

The KUS 24 Hour Run offers several timed events on a one-mile loop course in Marquette, Kansas. The events include a 24-hour, a 12-hour day, a 6-hour day, a 12-hour night, and a 6-hour night format.

Course Details

The course is a one-mile loop at the Wolverine Sports Complex. The path is primarily a six-foot-wide crushed limestone trail, with a small section crossing a grass field. The route is split evenly between wooded areas and open spaces.

Aid and Facilities

There is one aid station at the start/finish of each loop. The event is cup-less, so participants must bring their own refillable container. The aid station provides standard fare along with soups, broths, and warm options during the night. Runners and their crews are allowed to set up pop-up tents, chairs, and personal aid stations in a designated area near the start/finish. Dogs are permitted only in the parking lot and not on the race course. Pacers are not allowed.

Registration and Awards

Participants registered by a specific date receive a long-sleeve technical t-shirt. All participants receive a belt buckle finisher award. Additional magnetic banners for the buckle are awarded for completing specific distances: 50k, 50 mile, 100k, 75 mile, and 100 mile. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each event. An additional "doubler" award is available for those who also complete any distance at a separate event called the Heat Wave 6/12/24.

Other Information

Chip timing is used, with the timing chip attached to the race bib. All runners under 18 must have a parent or guardian present at the event. Refunds are not offered, but a one-time deferral to the following year's race is possible. In case of severe weather like lightning, the event clock continues to run while participants are directed to shelter, resuming when conditions improve.
