KUS 6/12/24 Hour Run
The event is a multi duration timed run held at the Wolverine Sports Complex in Marquette, KS. It offers multiple time based events on a measured loop and provides chip timing with bibs used as the timing chips.
- 24 hour event
- 12 hour day event
- 12 hour night event
- 6 hour day event
- 6 hour night event
The course is a one mile loop at 310 Harold St. The surface is primarily a six foot wide crushed limestone path with a small portion over grass. The loop is roughly split between tree cover and open sections.
There is one aid station at the start and finish of each loop. Standard aid station items will be available along with soups, broths, and warm options overnight. The event is cup less so attendees should bring a refillable cup. Shared food items may be placed in a designated area. Runners and crews may set up pop up tents and chairs near the start finish area for self aid.
Crews, tents, and canopies are allowed in clearly marked areas near the completion of the loop. Dogs are permitted in the parking lot but not on the course. Pacers are not allowed. Excessive alcohol consumption is not tolerated and violators will be asked to leave.
Chip timing is used and the bib contains the timing chip. Runners should wear the bib visibly and remove it after finishing to avoid additional lap counts. Runners under 18 must have a parent or guardian running or present at the event at all times.
Swag and awards include a long sleeve tech t shirt for early registrants, a belt buckle finisher award for all participants, distance specific magnetic banners for certain distances, and awards for the top three in each event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
