Mynydd Maen Traverse is a running event near Pontypool featuring a 9.8 km route with 291 m of climb. It includes separate junior races and accepts team entries of three.

A 7.5 km fell race at Cwrt-y-Cadno Show fields with 264 m of climb. Entry to the show covers the £5 fee; the course is partially marked and open to those over 16.

A 10 km circular trail around Piethorne and Ogden Reservoirs with 275 m of ascent, crossing the M62 and skirting Hollingworth Lake. The race takes place Sunday 16 August 2026 at the Bulls Head in Newhey and follows FRA rules.

A fell race in Crowden on 16 August 2026 following the Pennine Way to Black Hill and Soldiers Lump. Online and on-the-day entry options are available, minimum age 18, limited parking and a GPX route is provided.

A five-round trail series at Wirral Country Park held on the third Tuesday each month from April to August, featuring an approx 8K course. Entry is available per race or as a series and trophies are awarded for overall series results.

A timed, flexible run along a 3.28 mile out and back route beside the Stroud Waterways canal. Runners choose distances from 5 km up to ultra and may complete as many laps as they wish within a seven hour limit.

Challenge yourself on the Pilgrims Cross Fell Race across the West Pennine Moors, a scenic but tough 10.7 km with 390 m of climb. Entry is on the day only with a small fee, and the race features in the Rossendale midweek series.

A short but demanding downhill on Tryfan covering 1 km with 680 m climb, on rocky and exposed terrain. The race requires significant experience and expert navigation, and carries a small entry fee for Ogwen Mountain Rescue.

Trail races from Edale across Peak District peaks with self navigated GPX and marked maps. Distances include a 41 mile ultra, marathon and half, with stocked checkpoints, finishers' medals and safety trackers on longer courses.

Trail half marathon and 10k around Carsington Water on 22 August 2026, run on marked trail paths with marshals and an event village. GPX files are available for both courses.

Third and final event in the 2026 Summer Series at Chorlton Water Park, featuring lap-based timed running on a 5.3 km riverside course with a seven hour limit and a finishers medal for every participant.

A 7 hour time challenge at Dare Valley Country Park where runners pick their distance from a 3km minimum. The event features a cupcake magnet medal, a baking competition, aid tables with vegan options, and free parking.

An 8.8 km (5.5 mile) fell run around Pen Y Gwely reservoir near Rhydycroesau, featuring tracks, paths and fields with 225 m of climb. The course is partially marked, entry is £7 on the day and the minimum age is over 15.

A 30 km circular fell race around Belper on a chipped, fully signposted course that passes ancient Roman roads, farmland and woodland. Walkers and runners may enter; the route is not suitable for wheelchairs or dogs.

A multi distance trail event in Preston on 23 August 2026, with routes around Avenham Park, Miller Park and Upper Farm Nature Reserve. Distances include 10k, half marathon, marathon and an ultra on hard surface paths.

A 10 mile trail race through Radnor forest in Mid Wales on 23 August 2026, held in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit in Hereford. The route reaches Black Mixen at 2130 ft and includes forestry roads, moorland and tree covered single track.

Golf Ball Fell Race is organised by Rossendale Harriers on 26 August 2026. Entry is on the day and runners should carry the recommended FRA kit, which may be checked depending on conditions.

Take on the classic Holcombe Two Towers fell race on Wednesday 26 August 2026 in the South West Pennines, a challenging 4 mile course with 400 m of climb through rugged moorland. Expect steep trails, great views and a lively community atmos..

A non stop 130 mile canal towpath race from Liverpool to Leeds run under UK Athletics rules. Open to runners aged 20 and over, the event has a 40 hour limit and a limited number of unsupported entries with regular feed points.

A chip timed, multi-terrain 10 km through Pershore and nearby countryside, finishing in Abbey Park with Pershore Abbey nearby. Entry is online, limited to 325 places and restricted to participants aged 18 and over.
