The Across Wales Walk
The Across Wales Walk is an annual long-distance walking event that crosses the principality of Wales on a linear route. Participants may walk or run the full distance of 45 mile and aim to complete the route within 18 hours.
The event is run as a weekend package. The package includes overnight accommodation before and after the crossing, transport to the start and return transport to Clun, refreshments provided en route, and a presentation ceremony at the end of the weekend.
Organisers publish a schedule of editions and booking opening dates. The 64th Across Wales Walk is scheduled for 4 September 2027 with bookings opening on 1 May 2027. Past notices on the event site record operational changes and occasional supplementary walks organised in specific years.
At one point qualification requirements were changed from five to three previous successful completions. The event is not endorsed by the LDWA.
