Devil's Chair Dash or Dawdle
The event is an annual fell race held at the Stiperstones Inn, near Minsterley, Shropshire, SY5 0LZ (GR 005365). It is described as the oldest annual fell race in Shropshire and one of the UK’s largest participation events on Boxing Day. The course distance is 4.8 km (3 miles) with 244 m (801 ft) of climb. The route is partially marked and limited experience is required.
Entry is by online form with pay on the day for those listed; online entries are required for recorded times. Entry fees are £5 for individuals and £10 for families. Teams may enter free. Minimum age is over 12. Parking at the venue is limited and car sharing is recommended.
Walkers, supporters, friends and family are welcome. Hot soup and sandwiches are provided for attendees. The event is insured by the Welsh Fell Runners Association and all proceeds are donated to the Severn Hospice.
