Cardington Cracker
Cardington Cracker is a confirmed fell race held on 6 December 2026. The course is 14.5 km long with 793 m of total ascent and is categorised as AM.
Entry is pre-register only, with online entries handled via SI entries and an entry limit of 180; fees are listed on the SI entries page. Race headquarters and registration are at Cardington Village Hall, SY6 7JZ. Race numbers and dibbers must be collected on the day and dibbers should be returned after the race; no safety pins will be provided.
All runners must carry the required FRA kit throughout the race. The route is marked and marshalled except for the section off the first hill, The Lawley. There are short sections of road and three road crossings, so runners should be aware of traffic. The course can be wet in December; shoes with plenty of grip are recommended. Summit conditions may be exposed and testing at this time of year.
Water is available only at the finish; a table will be provided for personal drinks left for the finish. If a runner retires they should inform a marshal and the finish officials and return their dibber.
