Trail Running calendar near Wetherby 2026-2027

A five mile trail race at Pennington Flash on 23 August 2026, organised by Leigh Harriers at Leigh Sports Village. The event is licenced by TRA and held under UK Athletics rules, with separate affiliated and unaffiliated entry prices.

A single-lap, multi-terrain trail race of about 7 miles through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park in Leeds, organised by Valley Striders AC with on-site facilities, age-group prizes and fundraising for St Gemma’s Hospice.

A Backyard Ultra style 12 hour event at Cadwell Park where runners complete a 6.7 km lap each hour for a potential total of 80.4 km. Categories include solo and pairs plus a six hour non competitive option.

Rumble In The Jumble V is a six hour challenge in Penistone with out-and-back laps along an old railway line, offering distances from 5K to ultra. Aid stations, a choice of medals and a goody bag are provided.

Take on the Trunce 8, a classic Peak District fell race starting and finishing at Oxspring Playing Field. The 6.2 km route climbs 190 m and entry is on the day for £3, with a junior 3 km race for over 10s at £1.

A one lap trail and road race of approximately 10K at National Trust Lyme in Disley with 272 metres of ascent, full course marshals and marking, free park admission and food vendors at the Timber Yard. Entry options from £28.

Tackle Roseberry Topping on Wed 26 Aug 2026 in this classic short fell race hosted from Newton under Roseberry. Expect a punchy 2.3 km course with big climb and great views, junior entries welcome and on the day entry available.

Golf Ball Fell Race is organised by Rossendale Harriers on 26 August 2026. Entry is on the day and runners should carry the recommended FRA kit, which may be checked depending on conditions.

A midweek fell race near Bury covering about 6.5 km with 400 m of climb, held at the Hare & Hounds. The event allows teams, requires a minimum age of 16, and has a 1 hour 10 minute cutoff at Moorbottom Road.

A pop up evening running event in Kirkstall, Leeds offering 5k and 10k routes along canal-side paths. Entry is available on the night or online and runners receive a jumble medal plus food and drink options.

A scenic 10 km trail race through Derwent Walk Country Park near Newcastle and Gateshead on 29 August 2026. The event features chip timing, finishers medals, street food and onsite amenities at Blaydon Rugby Club.

A non stop 130 mile canal towpath race from Liverpool to Leeds run under UK Athletics rules. Open to runners aged 20 and over, the event has a 40 hour limit and a limited number of unsupported entries with regular feed points.

Join the Arnison Crag Horseshoe fell race in Patterdale on Sat 29 Aug 2026, starting at King George Playing Fields as part of Patterdale Dog Day. A steep 5 km with 300 m climb, entries on the day £5, minimum age 14.

A short fell race of 4 km with about 120 m climb at the Show Field in St John's Chapel. Day entries cost £2 and there are separate junior races for children aged 4 to 12 plus an under 18 category.

Tackle a classic Pennines fell race in Pendleton on 29 August 2026. The 8 km course packs 457 m of ascent across rough terrain, with on the day entries and homemade cakes and a cosy village pub to reward you.

Tackle the Tripsdale Trot on 29 August 2026 at the Bilsdale Show in Chop Gate. This 5.5 mile fell race through the North York Moors climbs 1437 ft and has a junior fun race alongside. Entry is on the day.

A trail event from Skipton across Pennine and Dales Way terrain offering 13, 20, 34 and 50 mile courses with checkpoints, trackers for ultras, mandatory safety kit and recorded climb and ranking points.

A six hour looped trail event on an approximate 5.45 km course with mixed terrain and 71 metres of elevation per lap. Runners choose how many laps to complete and an aid station at the start/finish provides real food.

A seven hour timed trail run along the River Wear in Durham with lap-based distances from 3 km up to 50 km, medals and distance pins for half marathon and above, on-course drink and snack support and a goody bag for finishers.

Nottingham Running Festival at Nottingham Racecourse in Colwick Country Park features a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and junior race, supports Nottinghamshire Hospice, and includes medals, free photos, chip timed results and an event village.
