Trail Running calendar near Leicester 2026-2027

The National Forest Way Ultra will take place in Burton upon Trent on Saturday 6 June 2026.

A 50 mile point to point ultra across the South Pennines visiting six carved poem stones and Haworth. The route combines high moorland and valley sections with indoor checkpoints, live tracking and finishers mementos.

A circular 46 miles route through Cambridgeshire visiting four former RAF Pathfinder Force airbases, starting and finishing at RAF Wyton. Entries open 1 Jan to 24 May; minimum age 18; entry includes a course booklet, t-shirt and medal.

Tackle scenic, hilly trails at Wendover Woods with a half marathon, a 10k and a junior 1k on 7 June 2026. Enjoy forest scenery, a cafe and adventure playground plus medals, photos and prizes for top finishers.

Join the Coombe Hill Fell Race in Wendover for a punchy 7 km with about 220 m of climb, including a steep ascent and descent. On the day entry is available and your entry includes a pint at the finish.

Take on the Passing Clouds fell race in the Peak District on Sun 7 Jun 2026, a scenic but testing 15.7 km trail with 565 m of climb around Tittesworth Reservoir. Entry on the day from £9 for members, parking charges apply.

Join the Calton Crawl on Tue 9 Jun 2026 in the Peak District for an energetic 8.5 km trail run with 244 m of climb, offering great views and a proper challenge. Friendly village hall base and day entries welcome for a low cost event.

A five mile charity trail run in Epperstone, Nottinghamshire that raises funds for The Brain Tumour Charity. The undulating course includes an early mini hill and offers prizes such as vouchers, course records and a club award.

Enjoy scenic trail running through the historic Wentworth Castle Gardens with 5 km and 10 km options. Canicross friendly, this midweek event offers live chip timing, a medal and post race snack to celebrate your run.

Tackle the Boar's Head fell race in the Peak District on Wed 10 Jun 2026. This BM 8 mile course climbs 402 m from the Boar's Head Hotel, welcomes teams and on the day entries for £5; entrants must be 18 or older.

A 10K held within Sandringham Estate on 12 June 2026, combining trail and road sections with chip timing, a finisher medal and a water station at about 5 km. Runners must be 16 or older and the event follows UK Athletics rules.

Off-road 10 and 20 mile trail races around Fotheringhay, starting at Castle Farm Campsite. Routes run through fields, bluebell woodlands, riverside paths and old railway lines, with camping available and eco-friendly water stations.

An 11.2 km multi terrain community race around Gnosall with a separate chip timed family fun run. The route passes canal towpaths, farmland and woodland and all finishers receive a technical shirt and finish line refreshments.

A multi distance trail event in the Cotswolds on 13 and 14 June 2026. Based at Cirencester, it offers loop and staged 100 km options with regular rest stops, medical support, camping and finishers awards.

A timed multi-lap event at Chorlton Water Park on 13 June 2026 with laps of a 5.3 km out and back riverside course, a seven hour limit, vegetarian aid station options and a charity donation per entry.

Tackle the Wincle Trout fell race in the Peak District, a scenic but testing 9.5 km course with 320 m of climb and a possible river crossing, held alongside the lively Wincle Fete. Places are limited and available by pre entry only.

A nonstop 268 mile race along the Pennine Way from Edale to Kirk Yetholm with a 156 hour time limit. Checkpoints provide meals, rest and medical support. Entry requires age 21 or over and qualifying endurance experience.

Tackle the classic Edale Fell Race in the Peak District, a 4.7 miles route with 402 m of climb across dramatic moorland. Pre entry and on the day entry are available, plus junior races and entry to Edale Country Day for runners.

Take on the Trevor Milner Riber Run on 16 June 2026 in Lea Green near Matlock for a scenic yet testing 6.8 km course in the Peak District with 305 m of climb. On the day entries available and juniors can join free in the main race.

A fund-raising fell race on 17 June 2026 near Castleton in the Peak District. The route is about 8.5 km with roughly 370 m ascent, run under FRA rules with mandatory kit and flagged, marshalled navigation.
