Pitsford Water Trail Races
The event on Sunday, 7 March 2027 is a set of fully marked and marshaled trail races based at Brixworth Country Park, Northampton Road, Brixworth NN6 9DG. The programme offers two distances and routes that use trails and tracks around Pitsford Water.
- 10k - Trails around Pitsford Water, crossing the dam and causeway.
- Half Marathon - Trails through Holcot, Hannington, Walgrave, Old, and Scaldwell.
Both routes start and finish at Brixworth Country Park and follow trails above Pitsford Water. The 10k drops downhill and returns along the track beside the water. The half marathon continues through the listed villages before rejoining the lakeside track; the half marathon route includes several stiles between fields. GPX files for both routes are provided.
Practical details: entry fees are £27 for the 10k and £32 for the half marathon. Minimum ages on race day are 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. The race cut off time is four hours for both distances. Dogs are not permitted on the courses. Entries and transfers close seven days before the event.
On-course support includes professional first aid at the start and finish and access to runners on course. Water stations are at miles 3 on the 10k, and at miles 3, 6.5 and 9.5 on the half marathon, with water also at the finish. No in-ear headphones are allowed; bone-conduction devices that do not sit in the ear are permitted. Mandatory items include a fully charged mobile phone and a personal cup, as races are cupless. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race, and all finishers receive a race medal. Race merchandise is available by pre-order only.
