Pitsford Water Trail Races
Pitsford Water Trail Races are fully marked and marshaled trail events based at Brixworth Country Park, running on trails and tracks around Pitsford Water and nearby villages.

- Half Marathon
Both routes leave Brixworth Country Park, cross the dam toward Pitsford and follow trails above Pitsford Water toward Holcot. The 10k drops downhill and crosses the causeway to return alongside Pitsford Water to the park. The half marathon continues through Holcot and on to Hannington, Walgrave, Old and Scaldwell before rejoining the lakeside track for the final mile; the half includes a number of stiles between fields. Arrow signs fully mark both routes. In ear headphones are not permitted; bone conduction devices are allowed.
On-course support includes professional first aid at the start and finish and access to runners on course. Hydration is provided at three water stations on the half marathon (miles 3, 6.5 and 9.5) and one station on the 10k (mile 3); water is also available at the finish.
Entry rules and kit notes: minimum ages are 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon; both races have a four hour cut off and entries close seven days before the event. Dogs are not permitted on the footpaths. Runners must bring a fully charged mobile phone including the numbers of the Race Director and Race Medic for the half marathon and provide their own cup as the races are cupless. Trail shoes or shoes with grip are advisable. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and all finishers receive a specially commissioned race medal. Free digital race photos are provided after the event. A series option links this race with Rutland and Grafham Water Trail Races with cumulative trophies and interlocking medals. Parking is available at Brixworth Country Park with fees; 40 free spaces at Grange Lane are allocated first come first served and must be booked by the stated deadline.
