Windy Hill Fell Race is a winter fell run based in the Oldham area, starting and finishing at the Rams Head Inn, an award-winning 450-year-old pub in Denshaw. The 12-mile route rewards with moorland views and around 2100 feet of ascent. Competitors traverse from the Rams Head toward Hollingworth Lake, peel back at Rakewood, cross under the motorway to Lydgate, then climb Blackstone Edge before a Pennine Way traverse to the Windy Hill Mast, and a final climb back to the pub.
