Windy Hill Fell Race

The Windy Hill Fell Race is a challenging 12-mile trail running event with 2,100 feet of ascent, held annually in February around the moorlands near the Rams Head Inn, Denshaw, Oldham. The course features a fast downhill start towards Piethorne Reservoir, loops past Hollingworth Lake, climbs Blackstone Edge, and traverses the Pennine Way to Windy Hill Mast before returning to the finish. Participants must carry full Fell Running Association (FRA) winter kit due to the race's February timing.
