The Whitetops Hill Race, organized by Dundee Hawkhill Harriers, takes place in the scenic Sidlaw Hills, starting from the village of Kirkton of Auchterhouse near Dundee. The race covers 10.4 kilometers with a 360-meter elevation gain, making it suitable for hill running beginners. The course is well marked and marshalled for safety. Join the North Berwick Santa Beach Run on 24 Dec for a festive coastal dash along East Lothian sands with 2k, 5k and 10k options for families and competitive runners. Fancy dress is encouraged and proceeds support Medicins sans Frontieres.

On 11 January 2026 the Falkland Yomp offers an exhilarating 11 km trail run through Falkland Estate with steep climbs, fast descents and varied footing. The race sells out each year and entries are full with a waiting list open.

Take on the Frostbite Trail Race at scenic Lochore Meadows: two laps of 4 to 4.5 miles over trails and woods where mud adds fun, so trail shoes are recommended. Finishers receive a memento and places are limited.
