Punk Panther Wharfedale Skyline is a trail running event on 14 November 2026. It is organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons and takes place around Otley, Ilkley and Guiseley in West Yorkshire. Entries open on 16 November 2025 and close on 1 November 2026. The minimum age is 18 and the event is limited to 200 entrants. Entry fees are shown for each distance, with higher fees applying from 01/01/2026.

Course, logistics and rules

The route follows the Wharfedale skyline and passes Otley Chevin’s Surprise View, the Cow and Calf Rocks and Lindley Wood Reservoir. Provisional GPX files and a route description are available on the event page; the final version is emailed with final instructions. Routes will be taped the week before the race but tape may be moved or missing.

Distances and associated climb, ITRA and UTMB info:

  • 13 miles - climb 1700 feet; ITRA 1; UTMB Q20K
  • 20 miles - climb 2800 feet; ITRA 1; UTMB Q20K
  • 35 miles - climb 4800 feet; ITRA 2; UTMB Q50K

Checkpoints and timing points are on the course; runners must pass timing points or face penalties or disqualification. Checkpoints offer water, coke, energy bars and crisps with Vegan and Gluten Free options. All ultramarathon entrants get a tracker; other distances can hire a tracker for £15. A kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks may be carried out. Toilets are at registration and no dogs are allowed inside.
