The Wekiwa Springs Ultra takes place January 3-4, 2026 in Apopka, Florida. The event is a trail ultramarathon with timed formats: a 12-hour individual run, a 24-hour individual run, and a 24-hour relay. The course is a loop of 3.2 miles on Wekiwa Springs trails, described as offering scenic views, wildlife spotting, and shaded sections. Relay teams may include 2 to 5 runners; team members may run multiple loops before tagging the next runner and all exchanges must occur at the finish line. Awards are given to the top three males and females in the 12- and 24-hour events and to the top three relay teams, with placings based on completed lap totals. Minimum age to participate is 16.
Logistics and amenities
One aid station will be located at the start/finish area, providing hydration, first aid, snacks, and electrolytes; this area is also the designated support crew and team tent zone. Lodging and camping are optional: cabins and primitive campsites are available as upgrades, cabins are shared, and cabins included with relay registration are arranged so two teams of five share a primitive cabin that sleeps 10. All participants receive a long-sleeved cotton shirt, a wooden finisher medal, a complimentary Friday pasta dinner, and a commemorative race metal sign. Headlamps are required after 5:30 PM until sunrise. Refunds are not offered; third-party insurance is available during registration and bib transfers are allowed by contacting the race organizer.
