Race format and logistics
The 24-hour relay allows teams of 2 to 5 runners; team members may run multiple loops and switch as often as the team wishes, with all exchanges required at the finish line. Cabins and primitive campsites are available as lodging upgrades; cabins are shared and two full teams of five may share a primitive cabin that sleeps ten. One aid station will be located at the start/finish area with hydration, first aid, snacks, and electrolytes; the same area is designated for support crews and team tents. Drop bags are allowed at a designated tent near the start/finish. Headlamps are required after 5:30 PM until sunrise. The minimum age to participate is 16. Awards are given to the top three males and females for the 12- and 24-hour races and to the top three relay teams, all based on completed lap totals. Participants receive a long-sleeved cotton shirt, a wooden finisher medal, a complimentary pre-race pasta dinner, and a commemorative race metal sign. Refunds are not offered.
