AdventHealth Lake Apopka Scenic Trail 30K Run, 8 Miler & 5K

The event on Sunday February 15, 2026 features three trail races that start and finish at Magnolia Park in Apopka, Florida, and run along the Lake Apopka North Shore and Lake Apopka Loop Trail.

Distances

  • 30K (listed as an 18.6 mile route along the Loop Trail)
  • 8 Mile out and back to the historic pump house
  • 5K out and back on the North Shore trail

Course and surface information: the 30K follows the Lake Apopka Loop Trail and covers mostly hard-packed limestone or compacted trail with sections of grass, dirt and gravel. The 8 mile and 5K courses use the same North Shore trail and include pavement, limestone, grass and dirt in places.

Support and logistics: the event is a cupless race so participants must carry a hydration system or handheld bottle. Hydration and refueling stations are placed along the 30K course and medical personnel will patrol the route. Packet pickup is held the day before and the morning of the event.

Eligibility and timing: the minimum age for the 30K is 16; there are no minimum age requirements for the 8 mile and 5K. The course closes at 12:45 pm and 30K entrants must maintain a pace of 17 minutes 45 seconds per mile or faster to meet the cutoff.

Amenities and awards: participants receive a long-sleeved mesh technical shirt and a finisher medal. Custom awards are presented to top overall finishers, masters, and top three in five year age groups. A portion of entry fees benefits Friends of the Green Mountain Scenic Byway.
