Lake Louisa State Park Trail Run

The Lake Louisa State Park Trail Run is a trail running event scheduled in November 2026. The event offers three distances:

  • 5K - 3.10 miles; 69 ft elevation gain; 1 aid station (may be self serve).
  • 10K - 6.23 miles; 135 ft elevation gain; 3 aid stations; 1 on-course restroom.
  • Half-Marathon - 13.10 miles; 275 ft elevation gain; 6 aid stations; restrooms at miles 5 and 8.

Course and logistics

The routes run inside Lake Louisa State Park and include pine forest, lakeshore, and meadow terrain. Aid stations are located approximately every 2 miles; some stations are self-serve. The last three aid stations on the Half-Marathon will have bananas and bars. On-course restrooms are provided where noted for each distance. Packet pick-up occurs the days before and around the event at the National Training Center and at Lake Louisa State Park. Parking passes are single-day use, purchased online the day of the event; parking fees are paid to Lake Louisa State Park and an annual state park pass may be used.

Awards

Individual awards are given for overall Male and Female 1st–3rd and Masters 50+ 1st place Male and Female. Top three Male and Female prizes are awarded in age groups from 0-19 up to 80+.
