Monroe Cross Trail 50 Mile Ultra
The Monroe Cross Trail event in DeBary, Florida features multiple distance options over paved multi use trails in Volusia County. The main distance is a 50 mile point to point ultramarathon that runs from Rotary Park in Edgewater to the finish at Central 28 Beer Company in DeBary. The course follows several regional trails, including the East Regional Rail Trail, the Spring to Spring Trail, Riverside Walk Trail and shoreline paths along Lake Monroe.

The 50 mile course includes five aid stations spaced about every 8 to 12 miles. Participants must carry their own hydration bottles or packs and should be prepared to be self supported between aid stations. Runners may have a personal crew follow them along the course. The event is point to point and participants must arrange their own transportation to the start and pickup at the finish; race transport is not provided except for medical emergencies.
Lights and reflective vests are required for anyone running after dark; failure to have required gear after dark results in disqualification. Crew, family and friends are welcome at the Central 28 finish area where food, drinks and beer will be available and seating or tent setups are allowed. Finisher medals are awarded for the 50 mile and 50K distances and a finisher award is given for the 17K. Top ten male and female finishers in each event receive prizes.
