Vertical Vendetta - Crowsnest Pass, Alberta

Vertical Vendetta takes place on May 30, 2026, at Pass Powderkeg Ski Area in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. The event is a loop mountain race in which runners repeat ascents and descents on a prescribed route until a target elevation gain is reached.

The course consists of four ascents of the ski area lift line route, totaling 1,000 metres of vertical gain. The advertised distance is approximately 9.75 km. The average uphill grade is 25 percent; the return follows a slightly less steep line. Multiple timing points are placed on the route and there is a single aid station located at the bottom of the hill.

A maximum time limit of three hours applies. If demand is high, the race may use wave starts or heats, which will be assigned by registration order. The registration deadline is May 23, 2026, or when the race is full.

Entry fee is $65 plus GST. Registered participants receive a custom swag item, complimentary race photos, and a custom medal. The event includes category divisions for female, female masters (40+), female juniors (17 and under), male, male masters (40+), male juniors (17 and under), and non-binary / other.
