The Headwall Hustle is a 15 km trail segment held at Fernie Alpine Resort, near 5339 Ski Hill Road, Fernie, BC. The route climbs through Cedar Bowl to the Headwall, then traverses into Timber Bowl before a steep descent to the finish.

Registration and requirements

  • All racers must complete an online RCR event waiver before registering and provide the RCR Event Release Agreement ID during checkout.
  • First and last name on the waiver must match the ultrasignup account.
  • Youth (<19) wishing to compete in the 15 km youth category must contact the Race Director before registering.
  • Registration closes Wed, Jul 15 at 11:59 PM MT.

Test yourself at the Canadian National Skyrunning Championships in Alberta. This premier event features high altitude challenges including a Vertical Kilometer and the legendary 33 km SkyRace.

Sinister 7 Ultra in Crowsnest Pass Alberta runs July 11-12 2026. Events range from a half marathon to a seven stage 100 mile course across Rocky Mountain trails with transition areas, aid stations and time limits.

Sole Survivor Trail Race on July 18, 2026 features 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km forest trail courses at Pete's Park in Blairmore. Aid stations vary by distance and strollers and pets are not permitted.

A high-vert 50 km trail race in Fernie with about 3,000 m of ascent and a 15 km add-on the next day. Limited field and registration closes July 15, 2026.
