Headwall Hustle

Headwall Hustle is a 15 km trail race held in Fernie, British Columbia, as part of the Elk Valley Ultra. The route runs through Fernie Alpine Resort, climbs through Cedar Bowl to the Headwall, then traverses into Timber Bowl for a steep descent to the finish. The event date is July 26, 2026, at Fernie Alpine Resort near 5339 Ski Hill Road.

All racers must complete an online RCR event waiver before registering and have the RCR Event Release Agreement ID available for checkout. The first and last name on the waiver must match the UltraSignup account. If a racer is unable to compete, entries may be transferred by contacting the race director.

The 15 km race is limited to 200 racers. Categories include Male, Female, Non-Binary, <19, 19-49, and 50+. Adult entry fees are Early Bird $100 and Regular $120 (regular pricing begins March 1). Youth fees are Early Bird $80 and Regular $100. Combo pricing for both the Elk Valley Ultra and Headwall Hustle is offered with separate Early Bird and Regular rates.

Event provisions include a swag bag, Stag Leap sticker, technical socks, a finish line brunch buffet, category trophies, free racer photo downloads, and a fully stocked aid station.
