Elk Valley Ultra
About the Event
The Elk Valley Ultra is a 50 km ultra-trail with 3000 m of ascent. The event is in its sixth year. The course takes place on the trails around Fernie, British Columbia.
The route is divided into three legs:

- Leg 2 follows the old Rail Trail and trails through the Provincial Park.
- Leg 3 traverses the front of Mt. Fernie again before a steep descent to the finish line.
Participants can also opt for a Combo entry, which adds a 15 km race called the Headwall Hustle the following day. This race is held at Fernie Alpine Resort ski hill and features 840 m of ascent.
