Elk Valley Ultra takes place in Fernie, BC on July 25, 2026. The event offers the following distances:

  • 50 km
  • 15 km

Each distance has a maximum field of 200 racers. Entry fees are listed as TBD. Age and award categories include Male, Female, Non-Binary, 40 (Open), 40-59 and 60+. Prizing is awarded 1st-3rd in each category. Youths aged 19 who wish to compete in the 50 km must have a parent or guardian contact the Race Director before registering.

Race details and services

The event package includes an event shirt; shirts are ordered by May 31 and sizes are not exchangeable, so racers should select sizes accordingly. Entries may be transferred with the Race Director. On-course support and services listed include fully stocked aid stations, Zone4 chip timing with on-course tracking, free racer photography downloads, finish line barbecue and beer, and finisher medals plus top-3 trophies by category. Part of the entry fee is donated to the Fernie Trails Alliance to support the local trail network. Registration opens January 20, 2026.
