Michigan City, United States • 3 Oct 2026

Tryon Farm 4 Miler, 8 Miler, 25k, 50k and 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk

The event is held at Tryon Farm in Michigan City, Indiana, and uses a single 4 mile loop through the property. Longer races use multiple loops: the 8 miler is two loops, the 25k is four loops, and the 50k is eight loops. The event benefits the Tryon Farm Institute.

Distances offered:

  • 2 mile Fun Run/Walk
  • 4 mile trail run
  • 8 miler trail run
  • 25k trail run
  • 50k trail run

The course surface is a mix of open grassy fields, single track dirt trails, and small sections of pavement used to connect parts of the trail system. The main station is located at the start and finish area. A non-manned water and Gatorade aid point is positioned near the 1.5 mile mark. Two port-a-potties are available at the main station and there are no bathrooms on the course. Due to no parking at the start/finish area, participants park across the street at Head Start of LaPorte County, 811 Royal Rd, then walk to the venue. Runners should wear their bib on the front of the shirt so organizers can count loops.

The event is part of the Crazy Legs Race Series, which promotes non pavement and pavement races in Northwest Indiana, states an inclusivity policy for gender identity, and includes a land acknowledgment for local Indigenous Nations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
