False Spring Trail Runs

False Spring Trail Runs takes place in March 2027 (date TBD) at Soldiers Memorial Park, LaPorte, IN. The event runs on established dirt single-track trails that pass wooded terrain, winding switchbacks, and offer multiple views of lakes and ponds. The trail system is split into two sides, one about a 2 mile loop and the other just over 4 miles.

Distances

  • 10K : one full loop through the trails.
  • Half Marathon : two laps of the course.

The course is not flat and includes sustained winding sections; it is unlikely to produce personal records. Aid stations are located about every 2.5 miles and provide water, an electrolyte drink, Huma gels, and fruit. The event is cupless at aid stations except for post race drinks, so runners are expected to carry their own container for refills.

Registration benefits listed for participants include a fully marked course, parking, timing and results, full service aid stations, post race food and beverages, and custom finisher awards. Every finisher receives a custom award and the top three male and female finishers at each distance receive additional podium awards. The event participates in youth pricing and the Trail Mix Fund to help reduce financial barriers to entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
