Save the Drama for your Llama 6 Hour Trail Run

The event takes place on April 4, 2026, at Luhr County Park, 3178 S County Road 150 W, La Porte, IN 46350. It is organized by the Crazy Legs Race Series. The series promotes trail and non-pavement races in Northwest Indiana and stages events in parks across Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties.

Race format and details

Participants have a six-hour window to complete as many loops as possible on a marked trail loop of about 1.7 miles. A lap that is in progress when the six-hour period ends does not count toward a runner’s total. Organizers will check off each completed loop as runners return to the start/finish area; bib numbers must be worn on the front of the shirt. Overall female and male winners are determined by the most miles completed during the six hours. The course will be marked with flags and signs; runners are asked to follow the course markings rather than other runners. Runners may stop, take breaks, and refuel during the event. Event merchandise from other races will be available for sale for $5. The race series includes an acknowledgment of the Indigenous nations that historically stewarded the land used for these events.
