Save the Drama for Your Llama 6 Hour Trail Run
La Porte, United States • 4 Apr 2026
Event overview
Save the Drama for your Llama is a six-hour trail run held at Luhr County Park in La Porte, Indiana (3178 S 150 W, La Porte, IN 46350). The event format gives participants a six-hour window to complete as many loops of the marked course as they can. Overall male and female winners are determined by the greatest distance covered within the six hours.
Course, rules and amenities
The loop is about 1.7 miles in length. Loops are checked off at the start/finish area when a runner arrives; any lap not completed before the end of the six-hour period does not count. The course is marked with flags and signs; participants are instructed to follow the course markings rather than other runners. Runners are allowed to stop, take breaks, and refuel during the event. Participants must wear their bib number on the front of their shirt for lap counting. Merchandise from other races will be available for sale for $5, including t-shirts and hats.
Organizer and policies
The event is presented by Crazy Legs Race Series. The series promotes non-pavement and pavement races in the Northwest Indiana region and states that transgender runners may register as the gender they identify with without documentation. The series also provides a land acknowledgement for the area used for its races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
