Save the Drama for your Llama 6 Hour Trail Run

Save the Drama for your Llama is a six hour trail running event held at Luhr County Park in La Porte, Indiana on April 4, 2026. Runners complete repeated loops on a marked course and aim to cover as much distance as possible within the six hour time window.

The loop measures about 1.7 miles. Organizers track each completed lap at the start and finish area; laps in progress when the six hours end do not count. Participants are asked to wear their bib number on the front of their shirt. Overall winners for female and male categories are determined by the most miles completed in the six hour period.

The course is marked with flags and signs and participants should follow those markings rather than other runners. Runners may stop, take breaks, or refuel during the event. Items from the organizer's other races, such as t-shirts and hats, are offered for sale at five dollars each.

The event is presented by Crazy Legs Race Series, an organization that promotes non pavement and pavement races in the Northwest Indiana region and holds events in parks across Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties. The series states an inclusive policy allowing participants to register under the gender they identify with without documentation, and includes a land acknowledgement for the area used.
