Save the Drama for Your Llama 6 Hour Trail Run

La Porte, United States • 4 Apr 2026

Event details

Save the Drama for your Llama is a trail running event held at Luhr County Park, 3178 S County Road 150 W, La Porte, IN 46350. The event is a 6-hour trail run in which participants complete repeated loops of a marked course. Each loop is about 1.7 miles in length. Overall male and female winners are determined by the most miles completed during the six-hour period.

Course and rules

The course will be marked with flags and signs; participants are asked to follow the course markings rather than other runners. Laps are recorded when runners arrive in the start/finish area and should have their bib number on the front of their shirt. If a runner is in the middle of a lap when the timed period ends, that lap does not count. Participants may stop, take breaks, or refuel during the event. Items from the organizer’s other races, including t-shirts and hats, will be available for sale for $5.

The event is organized by the Crazy Legs Race Series, which promotes non-pavement and pavement races in Northwest Indiana and holds events in Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties. The series states an inclusive registration policy for transgender participants and acknowledges the Indigenous nations that stewarded the land.
