Run Happy 50k

Event Overview

The Run Happy 50k takes place on May 2, 2026, at the Potato Creek State Park Nature Center in North Liberty, Indiana. This trail event offers multiple distances on an established course with clearly marked routes. The event is open to both runners and walkers, and participants can choose from four distinct distance options:

• 50k (Five loops of the course)
• Marathon (Route and loop count to be determined)
• Half Marathon (Two loops plus a small out-and-back section)
• 10k (One single loop of the course)

Course and Logistics

The primary course is designed as a loop of approximately 10k. For the 50k distance, participants are required to begin their fifth and final lap by 2:30 pm, which requires maintaining a pace of approximately 15 minutes per mile. All distances are chip-timed by Watts My Time.

The trails at Potato Creek State Park are broken in and suitable for various experience levels. Registration must be completed in advance, as no same-day sign-ups are permitted. Participants who register by April 9, 2026, are eligible to receive a commemorative tee shirt.

Amenities and Regulations

Early packet pickup details are finalized closer to the event date, though race-day pickup is available starting at 7:15 am at the park. While pets are permitted to attend as spectators, they are not allowed to accompany participants on the running course.
