Run Happy 50K and other happy distances
The event takes place on May 1, 2027 at St. Patrick's County Park, just outside South Bend, Indiana. It offers multiple trail race distances on marked, broken-in trails and is described by organizers as relaxed and open to walkers and runners, including family groups who may choose different distances at the same event.
Distances offered include:
- 10K
- Half marathon 13.1 miles
- Marathon 26.2 miles
- 50K
The 50K requires runners to begin a fifth and final lap before the event cutoff; runners maintaining a 15 minute per mile pace or faster will meet that cutoff. All distances will be chip-timed by Watts My Time. Course maps and detailed route information are forthcoming and will be emailed when available.
Registration opens May 4, 2026 and closes April 30, 2027. Registration fees are $40 for the 10K, $45 for the half marathon, $50 for the marathon, and $55 for the 50K. No same-day sign ups are allowed. Entrants who register by April 9, 2027 will receive a tee shirt.
Packet pickup is available on event day at St. Patrick's County Park; early packet pickup time and location will be announced. Pets may spectate but are not permitted on the course.
