Cereal Killer 15k Trail Run
The Cereal Killer 15k Trail Run takes place at Red Mill County Park on South Holmesville Road in La Porte, Indiana on February 7, 2026. The course is a marked trail that requires runners to complete four loops to cover the 15k distance; signage and flags mark the route and participants are asked to follow the course markings.
Race-day sign-ups, packet pick-up, and restrooms are located in the Smith Banquet building on site. Timing will be done using an old-school method: finishers receive a numbered popsicle stick that must be returned to the packet building. Awards for overall female and male winners and for age groups will be presented after the race is complete.
All registered runners will receive a limited-edition long sleeve shirt while supplies last; if shirts are sold out, runners will receive a winter hat and gloves instead. The event has a cereal theme and offers a selection of breakfast cereals after the race, with 2% milk, almond milk, and non-dairy milk available. Coffee will be brewed on site. Merchandise from other races will be available for purchase for $5, including t-shirts, hats, and coffee cups.
The event is organized by a regional race series that promotes non-pavement and pavement races across northwest Indiana and states a commitment to inclusivity. The organizers acknowledge the Indigenous nations that stewarded the land where the races are held. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
