Troublesome Hollow 50K
Troublesome Hollow is a two-day trail event in the Bristol, Southwest Virginia area that uses riverside trails, swinging bridges, trestles, and a climb to a fire tower. The weekend includes three distances and follows sections of flat riverside trail as well as hilltop viewpoints.

The 50K is held on the first day and the 25K plus the 3-mile walk are held the following day. Some race sections start or finish near Mendota while the event base is in the Bristol area. Packet pick-up for the 50K is held at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum; 25K and walk packet pick-up occurs at the start/finish on race morning.
Aid stations are provided along the course. Early starters should be prepared for the possibility of reaching an aid station before setup. Chip timing is provided by Zen Arcade Timing, which offers real-time tracking and live splits.
The 50K also serves as the first leg of the From Start to Heart series, a three-race Appalachian series limited to 50 series entrants with a single series registration fee for all three races.
