Seven Trails Ultra Festival : Damascus, Virginia
Seven Trails is based in Damascus, Virginia and uses a 7.7 mile out-and-back loop from Creeper Cottages to just past the Pepsi Machine. Runners repeat the loop to accumulate distance, with options spanning from shorter ultra distances to a full 100 mile effort.
The event runs as a 30 hour effort with no cutoffs and a no DNF policy; every finishing distance receives a medal and 100 mile finishers receive a handcrafted belt buckle. The course is compact and designed so that runners can manage laps without a crew, and pacers are allowed.
Event services include packet pick up at Appalachian Heritage Distillery and a complimentary pre race dinner at the same venue. The dinner menu lists vegetarian and meat lasagna, meatloaf with a gluten free option, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cornbread, and garlic bread. A post event gathering is held at The Old Mill with discounted drinks for participants.
Timing is provided with live tracking and an on site monitor that displays lap counts and splits. Parking is available throughout town at the town pool and Main Street spaces, and drop off at Adventure Damascus is an option; some lots are reserved for businesses and should not be used.
