Mount Jefferson Ascent

Mount Jefferson Ascent is a mountain trail event near West Jefferson, NC, centered at 962 Mt Jefferson Rd. The route begins with about one mile of road climb to the park entrance, then follows Mountain Ridge Trail to a left toward the picnic shelter. From the picnic shelter the course continues on Summit Trail to Rhododendron Trail, then to Lost Province Trail and returns clockwise to the picnic shelter finish.

Timing is optional; a discounted hike option includes participation in event activities but excludes awards. Spectators who arrive at the final climb receive a custom bell, and all finishers receive a custom bell to join in cheering. Top three overall male and female finishers receive special custom bells.

Event features at the summit include local mountain music and refreshments. Shuttles are available to return participants downhill after the event. A portion of each sign up will be donated to the Blue Ridge Conservancy for new trail construction in Ashe County. The event is organized by Trail 30. Trail Days Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile out-and-back on the Virginia Creeper Trail in Damascus, Virginia. The race has a 3-hour time limit, an early-start option for slower runners, professional timing, shirts and finisher awards.

Trail event at Doe Mountain Recreation Area near Mountain City TN offering 50K, 25K, 13K and a free kids mile. Courses feature significant elevation and a 60 foot fire tower with panoramic views.

A three-night trail running camp in the Virginia highlands with three organized morning runs, on-site camping and basic tiny cabins. Maps and photos are provided; participants bring their own food and bedding.

Races and a hike at Hungry Mother State Park on July 25, 2026 include a one lap 15 mile mountain race plus 8 mile options along lakefront trails. Post-event awards, refreshments, live music and games are planned.
