Damascus Festival of Miles

The Damascus Festival of Miles is a timed loop running festival held in Damascus Town Park, Virginia on October 2-3, 2026. Participants complete repeated laps on a scenic 1-mile loop that includes a mix of paved and trail sections and passes near town park features.

Race options are offered as timed events:

  • 3 hour timed race
  • 6 hour timed race
  • 12 hour timed race

Registered runners may reserve a campsite along the course for overnight camping on Friday, October 2. The event provides more than 100 adjacent camping spots where participants can set up beside the loop.

Event amenities include live music at the park gazebo, a selection of food trucks, aid stations along the course supplying water and snacks, and designated parking areas near the site. Awards are planned for first, second, and third place finishers in each race category, plus recognition for participants who complete the most laps within their time frame. All registered runners receive a race shirt.

Volunteers support race logistics, aid stations, registration, and other event tasks and have access to a Volunteer Village. The format allows runners and walkers to set their own pace while completing laps within their chosen timed period. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
