Damascus Festival of Miles

The Damascus Festival of Miles is a timed running event taking place in Damascus, Virginia. It is held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with festivities beginning the day before, on Friday, October 2.

Participants choose a time goal and run as many laps as possible on a scenic 1-mile loop through Damascus Town Park. The course features a mix of paved and trail sections. The event offers three time options:

3-Hour Race
6-Hour Race
12-Hour Race

The event includes a festival atmosphere with live music, food trucks, and a gazebo area for spectators. More than 100 camping spots are available along the course for registered runners who wish to camp overnight on Friday. Early packet pickup and race preparation activities also occur on Friday.

All registered participants receive a race shirt. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each race category, as well as special recognition for those completing the most laps. The event is open to both runners and walkers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
