Froggy Mountain 100 in Galax, VA on June 19, 2026 offers 50 and 100 mile races run on a one mile loop with about 500 feet of vertical gain per loop. Aid, hot food, basic camping, and finisher buckles are provided.

Three nights of camping and three days of organized mountain trail runs near Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, with guided routes, basic cabin options, and GPX maps provided. Food and transport are not included.

Experience the 12th annual mountain running event at Rocky Face Mountain Recreational Area. Choose between the 16 mile Vertical Mile or the 8 mile Vertical Half Mile on this North Carolina course.

A free 5K and 10K event at Chief Logan State Park on June 20, 2026. The 5K uses flat paved road for running or walking while the 10K follows multiple named trails and finishes near the Museum in the Park.

July 2026

July 4 races at the Historic Crab Orchard Museum Corn Maze in Tazewell, VA, featuring a 5K made of five maze laps and a one-lap fun run with a patriotic puppy parade. Maze perimeter is about 0.63 miles.

Races and a hike at Hungry Mother State Park on July 25, 2026 include a one lap 15 mile mountain race plus 8 mile options along lakefront trails. Post-event awards, refreshments, live music and games are planned.

A 5K out and back run and walk on the Creeper Trail in Damascus, Virginia, on July 25, 2026. Organized by the Penny F. Garrett Sarcoma Foundation, with proceeds directed to rare cancer research at MD Anderson.

An inaugural trail race in Pipestem, West Virginia, opening the WV State Water Festival. Three lap-based courses of 19.5, 13, and 6.5 miles are offered, with awards for overall winners and more course details to follow.

August 2026

A trail race in Danbury, NC on August 1, 2026 of about 11 miles with 1,600 ft of ascent, two rock scrambles and a third of a mile river crossing. The course finishes at the Green Heron Ale House so participants should plan transport.

A three day guided trail running retreat in Roaring Gap North Carolina featuring daily guided routes, lodge accommodation, meals, and trailhead transportation. Routes range from about 7 to 10 miles with optional extra mileage.

A one mile obstacle mud run with 16 obstacles, giant sprinklers and a lazy river at the Bennick Compound in Morganton, NC. The event focuses on mud and water course features within a short, obstacle centered layout.

A weekend of obstacle races at Summit Bechtel Reserve on Aug 29–30, 2026 featuring Sprint, Super, Beast, a kids race, and a pre-race obstacle workshop across hilly, water‑featured terrain.

September 2026

A trail race in Damascus, Virginia with 16, 30, 40 and 50 mile options along Iron Mountain ridgelines and mixed terrain. The 2026 event uses a modified town route, the field is limited to 400 runners, and time limits apply for each distance..

A sixth annual trail run at Shining Hope Farms in Conover, NC offering chip timed 5k and 10k distances on a 120 acre farm. The event honors veterans and first responders while raising funds for Saddles & Salutes scholarships.

Point to point trail race between Pilot Mountain State Park and Hanging Rock State Park in North Carolina, offering 50 Mile and 50K options, a 50 Mile Relay, ruck and virtual races with substantial climbing.

Trail ultramarathon in Morganton NC offering 50K and 30K courses that include the summit of Table Rock Mountain, creek crossings, technical single-track, multiple aid stations, and camping at Steele Creek Park.
