Grayson Highlands
The Grayson Highlands trail races take place in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia on May 1 to 2, 2027. The event is organized by Run Bum and includes multiple trail distances held on mountain terrain near Grayson Highlands State Park.
The event offers these distances:
- 50 Miler: about 7,500 ft of gain; 16 hour cutoff
- 50K: about 5,000 ft of gain; 11 hour cutoff
- 25K: about 2,300 ft of gain; 6 hour cutoff
- 8 Mile: about 1,200 ft of gain; 4 hour cutoff
Distances are presented as approximate and may vary by GPS and mapping software. Course and race details are subject to change.
Awards and participant items are provided: top three male and female finishers receive awards for each race, and all finishers receive a pint glass and a finishers medal. Professional race photos are provided at no extra charge. The event supports the park, a local rescue squad, and the friends group.
Swag ordered for pickup will not be mailed; unclaimed shirts are donated to volunteers and park staff. The organizer’s refund and deferral policy limits refunds, transfers, race credits, and deferrals except in specified circumstances.
