Chad Lovette Memorial Trail Run

The Chad Lovette Memorial Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. The event includes timed and untimed trail options and a virtual run or walk option that remains active after the in person date.

Distances and formats:

  • 5K timed trail run
  • 10K timed trail run
  • 5K untimed trail walk
  • Virtual run or walk of your choice

The event uses RaceResult chip timing and posts near-live results via race specific QR codes placed near the start and finish areas. Race bibs will include two RFID tags on the back; participants are asked to avoid folding or crinkling the bib to prevent damage to the tags. Afterparty plans will be announced later.

Registration opens June 17, 2026 at 8:00am EDT and is available online through September 26 at noon. Day of registration is available, but T shirts will not be provided for registrations after September 14. The virtual run or walk option remains active through October 4 to allow the donation portal to stay open.

Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and a Relay for Life team. A donation of $150 or more earns name placement on the back of the race T shirt plus two race T shirts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
