The Dam Yeti races are set in and around Abingdon, Virginia and include trail ultramarathon distances on the Virginia Creeper Trail. Course and logistics

Both the 50 Mile and 55K run along the Virginia Creeper Trail over crushed gravel, crossing trestles and passing farms and streams. The race start is at Creeper Trail Trestle #1 (300 Green Spring Road) and the finish is at Sweetbay Brewing Co. Crew access points are listed for Damascus, Alvarado, Watagua, and the finish; 55K crew access is at Damascus, Alvarado, and the finish. Aid stations include Taylors Valley, Damascus, Alvarado, Watagua (water/soda/light snacks only), and the finish.

The event is cupless; a hydration pack or bottle is mandatory. Mandatory gear requirements include a hydration pack or bottle (minimum 16 oz), 500 calories of fuel, and a reusable cup. Drop bags are available for the 50 Mile and are collected at packet pickup and staged at Damascus. Pacers are allowed for the 50 Mile from designated trailheads. Join a free 17 mile run along the scenic Virginia Creeper Trail from Alvarado Station to Abingdon. Handmade mementos for top, middle and final finishers plus warm post race drinks and snacks.

Troublesome Hollow is a scenic trail race in Bristol VA with flat fast river sections, swinging bridges, trestles and a climb to a fire tower. Choose from 50K, 25K or a 3 mile walk and enjoy chip timing, aid stations and great atmosphere.
