The Tinto Hill Race, organized by Carnethy Hill Running Club, is a challenging 4.4-mile hill race with a 1,500-foot climb, held near Thankerton, Scotland. The course starts at the foot of Tinto Hill and follows unmarked paths above 2,000 feet, requiring runners to carry mandatory safety kit including waterproofs, hat, gloves, map, compass, and whistle. The race is known for its demanding terrain and variable November weather conditions. Registration and parking are at Thankerton Camp Farm, with post-race refreshments and prize presentations.
