The Three Towers Ultra is a weekend trail ultra organized by Tough Trails Ltd on Saturday 19 September 2026. The route runs across the West Pennine Moors, starting at Darwen (just south of Blackburn) and passing three towers: Jubilee, Rivington and Peel. The course is unmarked and runs close to a military firing range, so participants are advised to stay on the path. A guided recce will be organised. Entries open 21 October 2025 and close 28 August 2026. Entry fees vary by distance and UKA membership.

  • 55 miles - 8,350 ft elevation - 17 hour time limit

There will be a kit check and a kit list will be published by the end of summer. The event includes checkpoints with a variety of food and drinks, Mountain Fuel gels and snacks, GPS trackers, a finisher medal and a buff for all runners. Trail fees for the National Trust and Natural England are included and a donation will be made to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team. The stated venue is the Ranken Arms Pub.
