Three Towers Ultra - 39 & 55 Miles
Ramsbottom, United Kingdom • 19 Sep 2026
Three Towers Ultra offers two long-distance options on the West Pennine Moors in Lancashire: 39 miles with about 5,890 feet of ascent, and 55 miles with about 8,350 feet. The course starts in Darwen, just south of Blackburn, and visits three famous towers—Jubilee, Rivington, and Peel—over demanding, largely moorland terrain. The route is unmarked, so navigational skills are important, and runners pass near a military firing range edge. Organized by Tough Trails Ltd, the event provides guided recce options, GPS trackers, and finishers’ medals plus buffs. Support includes checkpoints with food, National Trust and Natural England trail fees, a Bolton Mountain Rescue donation, and a base at the Ranken Arms Pub.
