Three Sisters Skyline

Three Sisters Skyline takes place on September 19, 2026, in Sisters, Oregon, with a start/finish area at Village Green Park. The event offers two distances:

  • 50K: 50-kilometer trail with 3700 ft climbing and 4700 ft descent.
  • Half Marathon: point to point with a net downhill of 1500 ft.

The 50K reaches the edge of the Three Sisters Wilderness and runs through Ponderosa pine stands, areas affected by a 2012 forest fire now showing regrowth, alpine meadows, and alongside a mountain stream. The first 9.7 miles include a steady climb of about 2300 ft to aid station 1, followed by a return route that descends toward the finish. Approximately 95% of the 50K is on single track trails and there are three fully stocked aid stations.

The half marathon is largely on trails with about 85% single track and one aid station at mile 7.1. Both races finish in the center of Sisters.

Logistics include a mandatory shuttle ride to the start because of limited parking; runners are not permitted to be dropped off at the start. Race amenities include a finisher medal for each finisher, prizes for top finishers in each category, sponsor food and coffee before the race, and a post-race burrito bar for participants and volunteers. The event benefits Sisters Trail Alliance and is held under a special use permit with Deschutes National Forest and the City of Sisters.
