Run The Rock - Terrebonne

Run The Rock : November 7-8, 2026

Run The Rock is a loop-style trail race held at Smith Rock State Park and the Crooked River National Grasslands near Bend, Oregon. The event offers two distances and runs across trails that pass the rock faces at Smith Rock and the surrounding high Cascade peaks.

Courses

• 50K : includes Misery Ridge, passage below Monkey Face, and a loop around Gray Butte. About 5,000 ft of total elevation gain and 5,000 ft of loss. Approximately 85% single-track, 15% double-track and dirt roads. Four fully stocked aid stations.
• Half Marathon : 13.1 miles with about 2,500 ft of climbing. Approximately 90% single-track. One full aid station.

Logistics and services

The event requires off-site parking at DD Ranch with a free shuttle to the park. Nearest airports listed are Portland (PDX) and Redmond (RDM). A lodging partner is SCP Hotel in downtown Redmond; other lodging is available in Redmond, Madras, and Bend at varying distances. Pre-race coffee and post-race food and beverage options are provided. All finishers receive a custom award; top three finishers in non-binary, male, and female categories receive additional prizes. The beneficiary is Ridgeview High School cross-country team.

Refund and transfer policy: no transfers permitted. Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event may receive a 50% credit for the next year; cancellations 30 days or less receive no credit. A 25% discount is available for veterans and active military with prior request and ID. The race operates under a special use permit with federal and state land agencies.
