Bachelor Ascent

Bachelor Ascent takes place on September 12, 2026 at Mt. Bachelor in the Deschutes National Forest, about 20 minutes west of Bend, Oregon. The event is presented by All Conditions Gear and features mountain trail courses that ascend to the 9000' summit of Mt. Bachelor.

The event offers the following distances:

• 50K loop course
• 28K loop course
• 16K loop course
• Vertical Ascent 5K straight ascent

Registration fees vary by registration period. Typical ranges are: 50K $160–$180, 28K $125–$140, 16K $105–$120, Vertical 5K $70–$85. Fees do not include applicable taxes, processing fees, or optional add-ons such as race shirts.

The registration fee includes a fully marked race course, parking, chip timing and results, full service aid stations, medical support and communications, post race food and beverages, a custom finisher award, and professional photography. Live on-course tracking and results will be available during the event week.

Lodging and logistics note that the designated lodging partner is Riverhouse Lodge in downtown Bend; the nearest lodging is in Bend, about 20 minutes from Mt. Bachelor. RV and car camping is permitted on the paved parking area at Mt. Bachelor on Friday night with an overnight use fee paid through Mt. Bachelor; there are no other on-mountain lodging options.

Weather is variable in the mountain environment and may be harsh or change rapidly, especially above mid-mountain elevations. Race organizers may require mandatory gear depending on the forecast.

A prize purse of $10,000 is allocated to top finishers in the 50K. Podium finishers in each distance receive custom awards, all participants receive a finisher award, and a sponsor raffle will distribute prizes to winners as they finish.
